God calls all believers to use their gifts for the ministry of the church. Some in the church are specifically set apart for full-time ministry and teaching. These are the "shepherd-teachers" given for the building up of the body of Christ to equip church members to do ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Drew Grumbles and his wife Helen have been married since 2009 and they have two children, Owen and Clara. Drew was born and raised in Costa Rica as a "missionary kid" and moved to the United States to attend college at Virginia Tech. After college, he went to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC for his Masters. Drew came to Brassfield in July 2013. He loves to preach and shepherd the flock of God and hopes to be at Brassfield for a very long time! When he has down time, he reads a lot and likes to watch European soccer (football).
Kyle Kitchens and his wife Katie have been married since 2011 and have a boy named Jedidiah. Kyle is from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and attended The College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, N.C. where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Christian Studies. He is currently working on his Master's of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry there. Kyle is serving the children and youth at Brassfield and is seeking to cultivate an environment where students and families can grow in knowing God in Christ Jesus (John 1:18; 17:3) with the result of glorifying God through intentional, purposeful, and joyful worship (Deut. 6:5; Mark 12:30) and bringing others to Christ (Matt. 28:18-20).
