What is your church service like?
Our service lasts one hour and includes several prayers, Scripture readings, songs, a time for giving, a children's message, and a sermon. The main focus of the service is the sermon which lasts about half an hour and is designed to teach you the content and relevance of a passage in the Bible.
There is no dress code at our church. Some wear suits and others dress casually, but you will feel welcome however you come.
We gather in a beautiful, historic sanctuary that you will enjoy worshiping in!
Where do my children go?
At Brassfield we are delighted to have the opportunity to teach and train our children in the ways of the Lord. The primary teaching hour is our Sunday School at 10:00 am in the building to the left of the sanctuary.
During our 11:00 worship service, we keep all of our children in the sanctuary for the majority of the service. We believe it is important to train our children to worship God as we sing, pray, and listen to God's Word. Our service also includes a short children's sermon designed to teach the basic truths about God and the salvation found in Jesus Christ. Right before the "grown-ups sermon" children 5 and under are dismissed for nursery.
All of our teachers and nursery workers have been screened, so you can have peace of mind in knowing your children are in safe hands. We ask that a parent/guardian accompany the child to the nursery and then pick the child up at the end of the service.
